Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

Your writing room is a place to celebrate your progress with other writers. Here is how we handle the information that makes it work.

Who we are

Ink & Adventure is a writing community open to anyone who creates an account operated by Kelsey Winton. It helps writers track projects, writing activity, goals, experience points, achievements, and personal rewards. This policy covers inkandadventure.com.

For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@authorkelseywinton.com.

Information we collect

Account information includes your email address, account identifier, sign-in method, and authentication information. If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides basic identity information such as your email address, name, and profile image, subject to the permissions you approve. Email and password sign-in is managed by Supabase; the site operator does not receive your password in readable form.

You choose the information you add to your writing room: your display name, writer class, biography, photos, equipment, familiars or coauthors, project titles and descriptions, chapter progress, word counts, activity entries, time spent, challenges, and rewards. Levels, badges, dragon forms, and totals are calculated from this information. You do not need to upload a manuscript to track your progress.

Our service providers may process technical information, including IP addresses, browser and device information, request logs, and sign-in events, to deliver the website, diagnose errors, and prevent abuse. Our website styling also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google from your browser.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts, save your writing room, calculate progress and achievements, display the community, send account confirmation and password-reset emails, answer support requests, and maintain the security and reliability of the service.

We do not sell your personal information or use your writing room information for targeted advertising. Google account information is used for sign-in and account identification, rather than access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive documents, or contacts.

What other writers can see

Ink & Adventure is designed for community support. Other signed-in writers can view your writing room, including your profile, photos, projects, activity and progress, challenges, equipment, familiars, achievements, and personal reward choices. Choose “Only me” to keep a session out of other members’ feeds and records. You can also keep session notes private while sharing the session. Other project information remains visible, including descriptions and progress. Feedback and reports go to the site owner rather than other members. Avoid adding confidential manuscript details, sensitive personal information, or information about another person without their permission.

Your account email, authentication credentials, and account security information are not displayed in the community. The site operator can access stored account and writing room information when needed to administer the service or provide support.

You can download achievement and dragon cards to share elsewhere. Those cards can include your display name and achievement or project details. Once you share a card outside Ink & Adventure, its visibility depends on where you post it and who receives it.

Services that help us run the website

Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website and provides network security. Supabase manages authentication, the database, and uploaded image storage. Resend delivers account emails when our custom email service is enabled. Google provides Google sign-in and Google Fonts. These providers process the information necessary to provide their services and have their own privacy policies.

Service providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the service, its users, or others.

Cookies and security

The website uses authentication cookies or browser storage to keep you signed in and maintain your session. Google and our infrastructure providers may use additional cookies or similar technologies during sign-in and security checks. Blocking required cookies can prevent sign-in from working.

We use authenticated access, database access policies, and restricted image storage to limit access to signed-in members and help prevent users from changing another writer's saved information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and deletion requests

You can edit information using the controls available in your writing room. To request a copy of your stored information, correction of account details, or deletion of your account and associated writing room data, email hello@authorkelseywinton.com from your account email address. We may verify your identity before acting on a request. Account deletion is handled by contacting the operator; there is currently no self-service account deletion button.

We keep account and writing room information while your account is active. Following a verified deletion request, we remove associated information from active systems, except information needed for security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Technical logs and backup copies may remain until they expire under the relevant providers' retention processes. Copies other people have downloaded or shared may remain outside our control.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date below. We will provide an additional notice through the website or email for material changes affecting how your personal information is used or shared.
